MINEX RUSSIA Mining and Exploration Forum are taking place in Moscow from 5 to 7 October 2021 under the theme “Building mining industry of the future”. The Forum program combines a set of events organised onsite in Moscow and virtually. Thanks to the hybrid events technology, participants will be able to listen to presentations and ask speakers presenting at the physical venue in Moscow and remotely.
The MineDigital competition is organised to benchmark the cases of Industry 4.0 technology implementation in the Russian mining and metals industry and to share practical experiences with the wider professional communities. Participants are offered opportunities to receive appraisals from top experts from the leading mining companies and to promote their technologies to the industry-wide audience brought together at the MINEX Russia Forum.
Unlike the previous stages, the industrial transformation taking place before our eyes affects almost all areas of production, changing its structure and vectors of development. Media project “Expert Views on Industrial transformation” provides an open platform for discussing ongoing structural changes and presenting the views on industrial transformation for the next 10 to 20 years.
The conference, previously called “Mining Goes Digital”, has been renamed to “Transformation 4.0” and its themes have been expanded. The goal of the conference is to discuss the ongoing transformations which are shaping safer, smarter, more sustainable, and efficient mining and metals industry.
The conference is aimed at senior executives, operations directors, development directors, CIOs and digital transformation and automation specialists working in the extractive and energy industries.
Using “Immersive mining” technology, we have created one of the world’s first 3D virtual exhibitions dedicated to mining and exploration. Modelled on the concept of on-site exhibitions and trade shows, the MINEX Forum Virtual Exhibition offers a marketing and communication platform fit for the digital era. To attract visitors, companies can organise presentations, networking events, product demonstrations using branded virtual conference rooms integrated in their booths.
The Russian Mining Award competition allows to evaluate and promote the best achievements in various areas of mining & metals industry, including geological exploration, technological development, investment and finance, human resources development, environmental management. The competition consists of two stages:
Specialised competitions are held at the first stage of the Russian Mining Awards.
The finalists are invited to present their projects to independent juries and audiences at MINEX Russia
Forum held on 6-7 October in Moscow and online.
Mining and exploration projects require significant investments. Mistakes can be very costly. Learning from practical experiences and cases can help companies and investors to assess the risks and make competent decisions. MineGeo competition provides benchmarking platform for Mineral Resource Projects being developed in Russia and the CIS countries. The competition is divided into two groups. The first features large-scale projects implemented by major mining companies and organisations. The second lists projects developed by junior prospecting and geological exploration companies.
One of the lessons learned by companies from the coronavirus crisis is that people are one of the most important assets. Highly skilled, creative, and motivated individuals make geological discoveries and drive modernisation, increasing efficiency and shareholder value. The aim of the competition is to popularize successful projects aimed at developing human resources to build a safer, smarter and more efficient mining and metallurgical industry in Russia. We invite companies and universities to take part in the competition and present projects implemented in Russia and CIS.

Progress is impossible without the introduction of innovative technologies that allow companies to create new competencies and increase their competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. With the transition to Industry 4.0 technologies, mining companies will not only increase their efficiency, but the technological transformation will also change the role of the mining & metals industry in overall production. MineTech competition facilitates the presentation of breakthrough technologies and evaluation of their potential contribution to the development of highly efficient and sustainable mining and metallurgical industry.
Documentaries are one of the most effective means of shaping public perception. To change attitudes towards the industry, companies need to do more than do their job well. They need to learn to talk about themselves.Held since 2019 jointly with the First Geological Channel The MineMovie Film Festival is the most significant event in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Community for the presentation of short documentaries about the mining and geological and metallurgical industries and the people who work in them. The 3rd MineMovie Film Festival is organised in September-October 2021 on the platform of the MINEX Russia Forum in Moscow.
