About Exhibition

Mining & Exploration Exhibition will be organised on 6 and 7 October 2021 alongside the MINEX Russia Forum at the Radisson Slavyanskaya conference and exhibition center in Moscow.

Who Visits the Exhibition

Previous exhibition was held in Moscow on 7-8 October 2020 under severe restrictions related to the prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection. Only a handful of in-person mining events were organised in 2020. MINEX Russia forum was one of these events.

The exhibition featured 57 stands of Russian and international companies.

In total 740 people visited the exhibition (including Forum participants).

A digital twin of the exhibition was launched in November 2020 attracting several thousand visitors from Russia and all over the world.

Companies participating in the MineESG competition will present projects aimed at enhancing environmental protection and social development.

HR Fair

Companies participating in the HR Fair, Metals & Mining HR conference and MineHR competition will present projects and programs on human resources management, development, and education.

MineMovie Film Festival

MineMovie films festival produced by exhibitors will be screened in the meeting halls and on the forum website.

Video Interview

Video interview at the booth. Exhibitors are offered the opportunity to record a video presentation of the company at their exhibition booths. After the the forum, recorded videos will be presented on the virtual booths and on the MINEX Forum YouTube channel.

Hybrid Booths Area

Companies participating in the exhibition in a hybrid format (in-person and remotely) can hold meetings and communicate with visitors through the Internet kiosks located at their on-site booths. Booth assistants will greet visitors and help them to communicate with remote exhibitors via internet video calls. Consecutive translation services can be provided on request.

Quests and Contests

Exhibitors will be able to organise at their booths and exhibition areas product quizzes and quests offering prizes to most active or knowledgeable participants. A digital version of the quizzes and quests can also be replicated at the forum's virtual exhibition engaging online visitors.

Virtual Tours

MINEX Forum Digital Media Agency offers exhibitors design and development of Virtual Tours and 3D Interactive Platforms. Presentations of the virtual tours will be held at the mainstream sessions of MINEX Russia Forum and Mining Goes Digital Conference. Exhibition visitors will be able to take part in the tours via VR helmets and video panels at the on-site booths of presenting companies.

Open Events Hall will provide a presentation platform for MINEX Russia Forum’s business podiums, Metals & Mining HR conference and Competitions. Hybrid booth

A hybrid booth is an ideal solution for exhibitors who cannot physically attend the exhibition in Moscow. Using built-in internet kiosk, they can communicate with visitors remotely and in real time.

How This Works for Visitors

  • Standard internet kiosk contains touch screen, camera, microphone, loudspeaker, or headphones. The kiosk is built-in the physical exhibition booth connected to Internet through Wi-Fi router.
  • The setup and operation of the kiosk is monitored by a promoter or technician. The promoter can greet attendees, distribute promotional materials, and answer general questions.
  • In case of technical or commercial questions, promoter invites visitors to the Internet kiosk and dials in remote representatives of exhibiting company, who, through a video call, answers questions.
  • Translation can be provided by the exhibitor's representative working at the booth in Moscow or by a hired interpreter.

How This Works for Exhibitors

  • Exhibitor's representatives and hired promoters or interpreters are manning the booth in Moscow.
  • Representatives of the exhibiting company who are not physically participating in the Forum are connected to the online room built into the virtual booth. Through online room, they can simultaneously communicate with online and physical visitors in Moscow. Online visitors connect using browsers. Physical visitors connect via video calls from internet kiosks.
  • To organise online communication with several visitors simultaneously, an additional Internet kiosk with separate virtual meeting room can be connected to the booth.

HR area features HR Receptions and HR Desks where companies and universities can conduct individual interviews and present projects.

HR Fair and Metals and Mining HR Conference will be organised for the first time alongside MINEX Russia Exhibition. They will bring together representatives of personnel management services, in-house schools, universities, R&D centres, recruitment agencies and companies specialising in the development of training programs and technologies.

Hosted by companies HR receptions and HR desks will offer interactive points for organising screening interviews with job-seeking candidates. Here, visitors will be able to learn more about the companies, meet with their representatives and take part in presentations.

An HR Teleconference will be held at the Metals and Mining HR Conference. Among many other issues, it will address challenges and projects managed by universities and companies to ensure high quality of education and research conducted in remote work format.

Virtual Exhibition

Digital twins of physical and hybrid exhibitor booths are represented at the virtual exhibition created on MINEX Russia Forum website. During the exhibition on 6 and 7 October, exhibitors will be able to hold real-time meetings with remote visitors via Internet kiosks. After the exhibition, meetings can be held in online rooms built into virtual booths. Virtual booths can also be used for displaying interactive video materials, 3D equipment models, presentations, product brochures, etc.

Demonstration of Virtual Tours

Immersive tours – are a novel feature of the exhibition. Companies that have prepared the tours will present them at their booths. Immersive tours allow companies to organise remote visits to mines and enterprises using 3D technologies, which until recently were used in computer games.

Demonstration of the tours can be organised in “full immersion” mode using VR helmets. Demonstration in “observer” mode can be organised using video panels. Internet connection for Immersive tours demonstration is not required. Immersive tours create a sense of real on-site presence. The interactive elements built into the tours allow presenter to seamlessly demonstrate slides, videos, images, 3D models and more. Virtual tours can be used for remote and in-person presentation of mine sites, production and processing facilities, equipment, financial and economic information, and much more. Gamification elements provide opportunities for organizing quizzes, quests, tests, and exams within the tours.
