MineProject Competition

The Competition of Largescale Mining and Metals Projects in Russia

The MineProject competition will be organised on October 6-7, 2021 on the MINEX Russia forum platform.
Venue: Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel & Business Centre, 2 Europe Square, Moscow

Mining industry provides materials for almost half of the world’s industrial production. The key economic sectors depend on metals and minerals, including energy & utilities, agriculture and food industries, construction, transportation, mechanical engineering, communications, etc. With ongoing industry decarbonisation and fight against climate change, the consumption of ore and metals is expected to increase. Taking into account global depletion of resources and decline of ore quality, a fundamental transformation of mining industry at all levels is required to ensure sustainable supply of metals and minerals. This is impossible without investment and development of large-scale projects. Mining and metals projects require significant investments. When investing in modernisation of enterprises or development of the mineral resource base, it is important to avoid costly mistakes. Learning from practical experiences and cases can help companies and investors to assess the risks and make competent decisions.

The competition provides platform for presentation of successful development of large-scale projects in the mining and metallurgical industry in Russia.
