Mikhail Leskov

Mikhail Leskov is a metallurgist with more than 35 years of experience in mining and extracting different mineral commodities. Currently, Mr. Leskov is working as Director for Business Development in Institute of Geotechnology (Russia), Board Member/Non-Exec Director in SiGMA Group, and also Advisor to a number of other companies and banks.
Previously worked on top positions inside large mineral holdings in Russia such as Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ), Russian Platinum Group, Severstal Group, Gazprombank Group, and Renova Group, been also a Board Member/Non-Exec Director in GV Gold (one of Top-10 Gold Mining companies in Russia) in 2014-2018.
Since November 2013 till April 2016 – Board Member in the Union of Gold Producers of Russia.
He has extensive experience on alluvial projects at Irshinsky GOK (Ti-Zr sands, Ukraine), Molodo and Ebelyakh placers (diamonds, Russia), Tirekhtyakh and Churpunnia placers (tin, Russia), Tazetta Co. (Ti-Zr sands, Mozambique), Sira river placer (gold, Tanzania), Kondyor and Uorgalan placers (PGM, Russia), a large number of various (dredging, open cast, and underground mining) alluvial gold projects (Russia and Mongolia).
Graduated as mineral processing engineer in Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, with a specialty in Engineering and Design for Mineral Processing/Beneficiation Plants.
Floating plants in wet mining projects
Presentation provides overview of the IHC Mining experience in design and application of floating processing plants for wet mining operations in virgin and man-made placers for various types of mineral commodities. Shared examples of floating plants operating in different conditions and processing different mineral commodities. Described most appropriate conditions for floating plants application and given recommendations for the Russian mining practice.
