Ivan Livinsky is a Head of Geotech and Hydrogeology Team of SRK Consulting (Russia). He graduated Russian State Geological Prospecting University (RSGPU) with honours. Being with SRK he has been involved in underground and open pit projects of different stages. His major focus is in characterization of rock mass according to international classifications (Rock Mass Rating (RMR), Modified Rock Mass Rating (MRMR, iMRMR), Barton Q System). His expertise covers QA\QC of data collecting, processing of data collected, supervision of and organization of geotechnical drilling and laboratory tests for physical and mechanical rock properties. He is professional user of different geotechnical software packages and well experienced in geotechnical modelling. He has also experience in training and programming of Geotech data collection according the international standards, in control over geotechnical drilling, and dealing with drilling subcontractors. His experience includes structural data collection at the operating mine sites using photogrammetric methods. He is engaged in co-authoring of the Federal Safety Rules and Standards: Open pit, open cast and dump stability regulation.
