MineTech Competition
The MineTech Competition will be organised on 6-7 October 2021 at the MINEX Russia Forum.
Applications must be submitted by 1 August.

MineTech competition facilitates the presentation of breakthrough technologies and evaluation of their potential contribution to the development of highly efficient and sustainable mining and metallurgical industry.
Progress is impossible without the introduction of innovative technologies that allow companies to create new competencies and increase their competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. With the transition to Industry 4.0 technologies, mining companies will not only increase their efficiency, but the technological transformation will also change the role of the mining & metals industry in overall production.
Participation in the competition is an opportunity to present technologies and concepts to experts from leading companies, as well as attract the attention of potential customers and partners.
Nomination Categories
Technological breakthrough cases in the following categories are invited to participate in the competition:
- Exploration and development of mineral resources
- Extraction of minerals
- Processing and enrichment
- Production of materials from minerals and metals
- Development of ‘circular economy’ production in mining and metals industries
HOW IS THE COMPETITION ORGANISED
Criteria for evaluation
When evaluating cases submitted for the competition, the jury is looking at their potential in shaping the agile and highly efficient mining industry of the “future”.
Who can participate?
Companies that have successfully developed and implemented innovative automation systems, digitalisation, and Industry 4.0 technologies for the mining and metallurgical industry are invited to participate.
Participation in the competition is free but does not include admission to fee-paying events of the MINEX Russia Forum.
Participation rules and terms
Applications must be submitted by 1 August. The projects submitted for the competition will be evaluated by an independent jury. Accepted projects will be announced on the forum website.
Nominees will also be invited to present their projects in person or remotely at the MINEX Russia Forum in Moscow from 6 -7 October.
The winners will be determined by the “audience sympathy votes” and the decision of the jury. The winners will be awarded diplomas and gifts from the competition partners at the closing ceremony of the Forum.
A press release announcing the winning projects will be published on the Forum website and disseminated to accredited media.
