MINEX Russia Mining and Exploration Forum founded in 2005 is a leading international industry event. The Forum focuses on the development trends and business growth opportunities across all segments of the mining and metals industry in Russia. The forum annually brings together Russian and international companies and organisations working in the fields of geological exploration, mining, processing, and metallurgical production. An industry exhibition, networking and competitions organised under MINEX Russia trademark facilitate engagement with industry leaders and experts. The forum program consists of a series of events and sessions highlighting key trends the mining and metallurgical industry.
The program will open with a series of master classes on 5 October, organised by leading Russian and international mining engineering and consulting companies.
On 6 and 7 October plenary sessions of the forum will bring together the heads of ministries, companies, and leading experts who will discuss Russian mining development in a post-pandemic world. The technical sessions will feature the latest technologies and management practices.
The conference “Mining Goes Digital“, organized within the framework of the forum on 6 and 7 October, will provide opportunities for presenting successful cases of technological transformation of mining and metallurgical enterprises, as well as discussing practical steps to develop the agile and sustainable industry of the future.
For the first time the Forum will host Mining and Metals HR Fair and the Conference which will be held at the Expo area on 6 and 7 October. During the Conference Universities and companies will be able to present successful projects, hold master classes and discuss common challenges. The program will be divided into two main parts.
Trade exhibition, organised alongside the forum, stimulates interaction between suppliers and end users. Companies unable to travel to Moscow will be able to organise presentations at the hybrid exhibition stands equipped with the internet kiosks. This new technology will enable physical and virtual participation of remote exhibitors in the exhibition in Moscow. A digital twin of the exhibition, modelled in 360 ° VR environment, will extend the opportunities for business exchange during and after the forum.
Media project “Expert Views on Industrial transformation” provides an open platform for discussing ongoing structural changes and presenting the views on industrial transformation for the next 10 to 20 years.
Six competitions organised by the Forum will be integrated into the Russian Mining Excellence Awards. Held since 2007, the Awards are regarded as the Russia’s ‘Mining Oscars’. It allows to identify and promote the best achievements in mineral exploration, mining, technological modernisation, investment, environmental protection, corporate and social governance.
The MineProject Competition is held with the aim of sharing the success stories and experiences of developing large-scale mining and metals projects in Russia. The MineGeo Competition presents a benchmarking platform for the presentation of mineral exploration projects developed by major and junior mining companies. The MineESG Competition is held with the aim of popularisation and scaling up the unique experiences of mining and metallurgical companies in reducing environmental footprint, protecting the biosphere, preventing environmental risks, and supporting socio-economic development. The MineTech competition hosts presentations of breakthrough solutions to address operational tasks and challenges faced by mining and metallurgical industry. The competition is open to mining and technology companies. The nomination categories include all areas of raw materials supply chain from exploration and assessment to production and transportation. The MineHR Competition is organised within the framework of the HR Fair with the aim of presenting successful projects focused on human resources development to build safer, smarter, and more efficient mining & metals industry in Russia. The MineMovie Festival of short documentary films is the largest and most significant media event dedicated to mining & metals in Russia and the CIS countries. Films presented by companies and individuals visualise industry’s input in economic, technological, and social development.
